When their father began to pass away from fatal prion insomnia, a genetic condition introduced to the Bray family bloodline by Clovis I's genetic tampering, Elsie, Willa, and Ana were all opposed to their grandfather's plan to transfer Clovis II's mind into an experimental [[Exo]] body. Elsie eventually began suffering the same symptoms as her father and discovered that she too was afflicted by what her grandfather had dubbed the "Clovis Curse".
