Reksis Vahn, the Hangman: Difference between revisions

Reksis had a tragic upbringing as he was abandoned at birth. Due to this he became very depraved and a twisted executioner who developed strong hatred of [[Servitor]]s and their esteemed role in [[Fallen]] culture. He denounced the worship of Servitors after watching his superiors grow in strength while he and his siblings starved. In his suffering he found clarity in his psi as he sought to bring the destruction of Servitor while others were driven to insanity due to their poverty of Ether. He quickly gained a reputation as a heretic and was even ousted from the [[House of Exile]]s.  

As Dreg he found refuge within the [[Tangled Shore]] who's harsh land shaped him and set up a base in the Quitter's Well. Later the Hangman carried out what he intended by siphoning [[Ether]] from Servitors and use it to feed his fellow Barons, sending them into a frenzy.<ref>[https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/roll-call?highlight=Reksis Roll Call]</ref>  

His obsessive hate did not stop there as Vahn gained even more notoriety by exterminating the last remaining [[House of Wolves]] Servitors. The broken House was doomed into extinction. This however did not stop his anger, as it lingered and festered, until he happened upon others like him with twisted ambitions and personas, a new place to let loose his wrath.

At one point, He would come into conflict with [[Elykris, the Machinist]] where she would hoard Servitors from her raids as he wanted to torture and kill them. Meanwhile, [[Fikrul, the Fanatic]] saw something in their ire, a new means of motivations in their tension until it would boil over did he step in. He would bring a Servitor forward with seemingly innocent intention, only to reveal to kill it in an agonizing way, this is to show their intent to kill all that they do not need, anyone bound to a house while the rest they can feed from.<ref>[https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/a-scorned-path?highlight=Reksis A Scorned Path]</ref>

He would later be imprisoned deep within the [[Prison of Elders]] with the others, but then would be freed by [[Uldren Sov]], and was present at the murder of [[Cayde-6]] at Sov's hand.<ref name=GIBarons/> He would be tracked down by [[The Guardian]] and they fought until he died by his own fire.
