An Ascendant Hive is a title given to those special Hive warriors who command legions of warriors and earned the right to enter the Hive gods' throne worlds through the Killing Logic.[1] Some Ascendant Hive possess Oversouls in which they separate their souls from their bodies and become resistant to death. These Oversouls may be used offensively (e.g. the Dreadnaught)[2] or defensively (e.g. the Däl sisters).[3]
