The Tractor Cannon fires [[Void]] blasts that knock their targets back and stun them. This allows the wielder to either shove enemies into walls, causing extra damage, or off a ledge to kill them outright. Kills with this weapon will trigger the "Scientific Method" buff, which will increase movement speed and weapon handling for a short time; the buff's duration is refreshed if the user nets another kill. The enemy will be suppressed and can't use abilities for a bit. The enemy will be 50% more vulnerable to [[Void]] damage, and 33% more vulnerable to other elemental damage. | |||

Tractor Cannon is an exotic Shotgun in Destiny 2. It is unusual because it doesn't do a lot of damage but has incredible knockback.
Lore
Property of Ishtar Collective. WARNING: Gravity propulsor beam can cause serious injury or even death.

Gameplay
The Tractor Cannon fires Void blasts that knock their targets back and stun them. The enemy will be 50% more vulnerable to Void damage, and 33% more vulnerable to other elemental damage.

Trivia
- The design aesthetic of this weapon is reminiscent of the Hunter's assault cannon in the Halo series.
- The weapon was originally a property of the Ishtar Collective to lift and move heavy objects. The way Guardians utilize it is much more simple, as the Cannon's only apparent ability is to push enemies away with brutal force. This might hint against that someone reprogrammed it, perhaps to survive after the Collapse, or that it became damaged by unknown means.
- Guardians may also simply be neglecting to use the weapon's lifting capability.
