A Seeder Ship is a Hive spacecraft used to colonize a world with Hive lifeforms. Typically, where a Seeder Ship has landed, a group of Hive have entrenched themselves, and the strange crystals and barnacle-like formations that signal a Hive presence have begun to spread. According to Ghost, the Hive have been using these ships to seed Earth for "centuries".[1] The Crucible map Rusted Lands is the location where Guardians first learned of the Hive's incursion.[2]
At least three Seeder Ships can be found in the Cosmodrome: one has crashed in the Refinery, another into the Jovian Complex, and a third at the coastal entrance to The Grottos. On the Moon, a Seeder Ship preparing for launch can be found in the Temple of Crota.[3]
