If this were years ago when we had so little to go off of, back before Bungie started lifting Destinypedia stuff wholesale without doing their own factchecks (e.g. Eramis, Sol Collective), I would say yes, it would.

But this is now, and Bungie’s shown us they don’t have their own story Bible to follow, and use us as an unofficial record. Any anyway, literal years separate the two concepts, the Desolate armor set and the Desolates technology, and not once has the Desolate armor been elaborated upon.

It is a tenuous connection at best, unfounded speculation at worst. There’s no supporting lore to connect Desolate and Desolates together. The Bond mentioning “in honor of the Queen” could easily be Guardian-created; and in any event, no armor lore exists for the Desolate armor sets to verify.

Dante, what is your take on this Desolate and Desolates?

So long as that armor remains inaccessible in the API, Destinypedia cannot add it to the wiki or any of its information *until* as such it can be publically accessed. Our own lore database is for sourcing purposes. That is my verdict on the manner.

Is it stated anywhere that The Corrupted Puppeteer is female and thus is automatically identical to Atraks-1, Fallen Exo? The article doesn’t say yet, and if it is then there must be a source to back it.

Just because in-game models are similar to each other, or identical, says absolutely nothing if it’s canonical. We save that for theorycrafting and spinfoil on r/DestinyLore, r/RaidSecrets, or what have you.

Destinypedia does not jump the gun, or tries not to, on new content. Sorrow’s position is correct until new information is available. Don’t bother me with this again.

My bad, I assumed it was still new.
