In an attempt to bring the Hive under his control, Calus created [[Gahlran, the Sorrow-Bearer]] for the sole purpose of wielding the Crown of Sorrow. Upon donning the Crown of Sorrow, Gahlran was corrupted by the Hive magic placed within the Crown by Savathûn, turning him against Calus.
