==Gameplay==
This is a pretty fun weapon to play with, but quite dangerous if one is too reckless and not mindful of their health. Before anything else can be said, let's get this message voiced out: 

Tommy's Matchbook is a very ''"risk-versus-reward"'' oriented weapon, in a quite similar style to [[Touch of Malice]]. This cannot be reiterated any simpler. 

After firing 20 bullets in continuous fire, the trait Ignition Trigger will activate, visualised by the gun overheating and sounding different, causing the player to damage themselves until their shield is depleted and they are perpetually stuck at critical health. The reward half is a double damage bonus inflicted for as long as the trigger command is held down. The damage bonus will vanish the moment the player stops firing. In short, whether in a Crucible activity or taking on a [[Ultra|boss]], as long as the player maintains fire and has the ammunition reserves, his/her damage output will be sky-high, but one good slap to the face will knock down their knees. 

Warlocks and Titans may have an easier time handling this weapon as they've got various options available to cope with the self-damage and get their health back quickly, from healing rifts to [[Voidwalker|Attunement of Hunger's Devour]] to [[Mask of the Quiet One]]; Hunters on the other hand may find themselves struggling with this weapon as they've got only [[Wormhusk Crown|one option]] to circumvent the self-damage, added with their already frail base defences compared to the other two classes, may make Tommy seem very demanding just to get a 100% damage increase, let alone maintain it. Don't forget that health is also a vital resource, with or without this weapon.

The entrance to the [[Hunter]]'s den on 7th Street immediately led to a flight of dark, dirty steps that went down two stories and multiple flights. A maglev train roared overhead as [[Aunor Mahal|Aunor]] reached the bottom. She had blinked through the Void to skip as many steps as she could. It made her a little angry. The Hunters who built this place must have thought the stairs were theatrical and intimidating instead of a complete waste of time.

Like this trip was turning out to be. The place was deserted. No one had passed her on the way down. Multiple card tables sat under a single rusty overhead lamp. There were a few possibly loaded [[Sidearm]]s left on the floor and rifles leaning against the walls. The occasional food wrapper from the deli upstairs accompanied the guns on the floor. There were more guns by far.

Something moved in the corner.

Aunor's [[Minuet-42]] [[Hand Cannon]] came up in her fist.

"Hey, whoa. No one draws in the den. Are you crazy?" A Hunter in full [[Strike|strike]] gear and his [[Ghost]] walked out of the shadows, hands and shell pieces in the air. It was the Ghost who had spoken. "Oh, a [[Warlock]]. That tracks."

The Hunter looked on in silence.

Aunor flashed her Cormorant Seal. "Aunor, [[Praxic Order]]."

"What does internal affairs want with a Hunter den?" The question itself was a lie.

"Your names."

"I'm [[Tommy]]," said the Ghost.

"I'm [[Ghost (Hunter)|Ghost]]," said the Hunter.

Aunor holstered the Minuet, made another visual sweep of the room. "Where is everyone? Hunters have been hard to find in the [[Tower (Destiny 2)|Tower]]. [[Bounties]] and strike assignments are piling up."

Tommy cocked his shell. "[[The Drifter (character)|Drifter]] must have the Praxics working overtime. Since [[Cayde-6|Cayde]] died—"

Ghost drew a long knife across the back of his armored fist. It sang coldly.

"—every single Hunter worth their salt is either out on a mission to save the world or spending their time away from the City. To avoid the [[Vanguard Dare]]."

Aunor looked from Ghost to Tommy and back again.

"Listen," Tommy whispered, as Ghost sheathed his knife and stepped forward. He held out a long, white-bodied rifle, with a flat, disc-shaped drum instead of a standard magazine. "This is the most expensive thing we own. You can have it. Just please don't tell anyone we were here. And get someone in that [[Vanguard]] chair. The Hunters are losing their minds out there."
