The Wardcliff Coil fires a volley of rockets, making it useful for clearing multiple adds in PVE. It is also commonly used in many boss damage phases, including [[Calus]] in the [[Leviathan (raid)|Leviathan]] [[raid]], and [[Ir Anûk, Deathsinger]] and [[Ir Halak, Deathsinger]] in the [[King's Fall]] raid. It also is effective at killing [[Guardian]]s in PVP, due to the rockets tracking.

*The Wardcliff Coil was originally called A Dubious Volley, and it originally dealt [[Void]] damage. This was discovered while datamining, embedded in the data files of ''[[Destiny]]'', but was never released until ''Destiny 2''.
*The Wardcliff Coil have been named for one of Serbian-American inventor [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_Tesla Nikola Tesla]'s most infamous inventions- Wardenclyffe Tower. It was the housing for Tesla's largest electricity coil and could shoot a bolt of lightning 300 feet outward. The ornament, Tesla's Revenge, is likely a homage to the inventor.
