| Returning to Mercury, the Guardian begins to collaborate with Osiris once more to bring an end to the Red Legion's endeavours to manipulate time and discover a method to change the fate of Saint-14 and prevent his final demise in the Infinite Forest. Voyaging into the Corridors of Time with the Perfect Paradox in their grasp, Ghost remarks that the shotgun's was responding to the Sundial as a broadcasting transponder was broadcasting sets of coordinates that cross through two different time periods. Recognizing that the broadcast was likely included with the prophecy blueprint used for the Paradox's construction, Ghost apprises the Guardian that he can align them to the first time period referenced by the broadcast if they open the intial chamber.

| Defeating the Vex forces protecting the Corridors, the duo eventually arrive to an early period in Mercury's past where Saint-14 was carrying out his first off-world mission. Performing a topographical scan to discern that they had arrived to an era of Mercury approximately taking place during the Dark Age, Ghost promptly receives a signal from Saint-14, who informs them that he is being engaging with Fallen forces bombarding the Zephyr Station. Ghost responds to Saint's command by ordering the legendary Titan to maintain his position while the Guardian arrives to his location to assist him in defending the station. When Saint-14 asks the duo for identification, Ghost simply orders him to stay alive. Arriving to Saint's position, the Guardian works alongside the Titan to eliminate the various forces from the House of Rain and destroy their Walker. Collapsing from the exhaustion of the battle, Saint-14 begins expressing doubt that his strength would not be enough to defend the people of Humanity. Manifesting the Perfect Paradox, Ghost allows Saint to retrieve the weapon and informs him that it will assist him greatly in future conflicts to come. Following Saint's acquisition of the weapon, Ghost projects a hologram of the present-day Last City and informs him that the settlement may never come into existent if he chooses to not continue the fight. Inspired by this future, Saint-14 vows to continue his duties as Ghost wishes him farewell.

| Returning to the task of discovering a way to avert Saint's final death, the Guardian traverse into the Corridors of Time until they arrive to Infinity's Siphon. Analyzing topographical readouts to identify that this era was closer to the timeline of present-day Mercury, Ghost informs the Guardian that this event in Saint's life took place before he had raised them as a Lightbearer and after Saint had launched his final mission in search of Osiris. Travelling to Saint-14's location, the Guardian works alongside him once again to defeat Agioktis, Martyr Mind, a Vex Mind designed for the purpose of draining his Light. With Agioktis's defeat, Saint would then order Ghost and the Guardian to return to their own timeline and open a gate in the Infinite Forest for him as although he would remain within the forest for years, the Vex could no longer stop him as they had expended all their effort to create Agioktis. Regardless of Ghost's objections, he and the Guardian comply with Saint's orders by returning to the present and opening a gate in the Infinite Forest for him to return through Ultimately, despite the countless Vex units that opposed his efforts, Saint-14 arrives into the present moments later where he emerges from the Infinite Forest and returns to the Last City.

| Following the destruction of the Almighty at the hands of Rasputin, the Pyramids would arrive into the inner system and spread throughout the system of Sol. Most notably, the Ionian Pyramid would travel towards Io and disable Rasputin after the Warmind's failed attempt to neutralize it.

| As the Pyramid would station itself above the Cradle, Ghost would accompany the Guardian in their mission to investigate the recondite vessel and find Eris Morn at the behest of Zavala. Transmatting to the cliff overlooking the Cradle alongside the Guardian, Ghost ponders how it must feel for a Guardian to be Lightless as he attempts to reach out to Eris, but to no avail. Contacting Zavala, Ghost informs the commander that his signals are being suppressed as the Pyramid's influence grows stronger. Recognizing the danger of this mission, Zavala orders the duo to locate Eris as quickly as possible. Traversing closer towards the cliff, the Guardian is pulled into a tractor beam by the Pyramid while Ghost is possessed by the Voice in the Darkness. The Voice would declare that their weapons were unneeded as only truth resides within the Pyramid, however before it could continue its declaration, the Guardian would be absorbed into a portal that would take them into the Ascendant Plane. Breaking free from the Voice in the Darkness's possession, Ghost realizes that something interfered to pull them out of the beam. Abruptly afterwards, the Guardian would suddenly be transported back to Io. Receiving faint readings from Eris Morn, Ghost successfully contacts the Hidden Agent to inform her that she was needed by Zavala at the Tower. Eris Morn responds to Ghost's comment by revealing that an entity calls to her at the Cradle, however she would be unable to elaborate as the Pyramid's presence would suppress her signal.

| While the duo would defeat large amounts of Hive forces infesting the Cradle and would once again be transported to the Ascendant Plane, Eris Morn would use her power to teleport them to her location where a Tree of Silver Wings resides. Eris expresses her belief that the tree was created by the Traveler before it departed back to Earth to fend off its ancient enemy during the Collapse. After Eris is unable to claim the Seed from the tree, she recognizes that an entity is attempting to s. While Ghost would assume that this being was the Voice in the Darkness, Eris corrects him and confirms that it is an entity of Darkness separate from the Pyramids. After the duo retrieve the seed instead and are contacted by Zavala, they return with Eris to the Tower. When the meeting between Zavala and Eris where Savathûn, the Witch Queen is revealed to be the one behind the interference, Ghost and the Guardian enter his office. Ghost informs Zavala that his scan implies that the Pyramid ship is paracausal and recites records of the Golden Age detailing the Traveler's dormancy after being weakened by the Black Fleet. The meeting concludes with Zavala ordering the duo to assist Eris in decrypting the Pyramid's messages with the Tree of Silver Wings while being prepared to fend off the remainder of the Black Fleet when it arrives.

| ====Ending the Interference====
| |
| Over the course of weeks, the Guardian works alongside Eris to eliminate the Hive and Taken forces commanded by Nokris, Supplicant to Savathûn, who had now sworn fealty to Savathûn, to weaken the Witch Queen's interference and allow Eris to decrypt the messages from the Pyramid. Ultimately, the Guardian confronts Nokris deep within a simulated variant of Savathûn's throne world and slays the heretical Necromancer to bring an end to the interference. As Eris Morn complements their success at slaying the former Hive prince, Ghost questions why Nokris would choose to ally himself Savathûn. Eris Morn responds by affirming that Nokris was merely a pawn in the Witch Queen's schemes and that his vast knowledge of Necromancy would be an advantageous power that would allow her to circumvent the threat of her Worm's hunger. Upon concluding their conversation with Eris Morn, the Guardian is suddenly transported into the Ionian Pyramid while Ghost is possessed by the Voice in the Darkness once again, who uses him as a vessel to proclaim the weaknesses of the Light and the strength of Darkness while also informing them of an ancient power that resides on Europa. With the Voice's message concluded, the duo enter a Hive portal that takes them to them to the Tree of Silver Wings where they converse with Eris about their discoveries.
