==Gameplay==
===Prison of Elders===
Sylok is just like any Taken [[Knight]] in that he is armed with a [[Void]] [[Boomer]] and can send out [[Solar]] projectiles that linger on the ground. However, in [[Challenge of the Elders]], Sylok's Burn ability becomes extremely dangerous. He will fire bigger clusters of those projectiles, and when they land on a surface, they will create a burning spot that will cover a much wider area of effect and last a lot longer, so expect to see flame spots all over the room.

===Tomb of Elders===
Sylok can be encountered as one of the possible final bosses of the Tomb of Elders activity where he bears Immunity Shield and will be assisted by reinforcements in the form of the Taken and the Dread. To dispel Sylok's Immunity Shield, the Guardian must gather six Resonances located across different areas of the room and dunk them into the rift located in the middle. When all the required Resonances are deposited, Sylok's shield will be dispelled and the Guardian can damage the Taken Knight for 1:26 until his shield eventually recharges. Following the restoration of Sylok's shield, the Guardian must repeat the same process until the boss is finally defeated. Once Sylok is slain the encounter is complete and the fireteam can continue forward onto the next objective.

*In his Grimoire entry, Sylok references an entity called "the Nastareth"; it is unknown to what this name refers.
*The audio introduction for Sylok's encounter is played at an unusually loud volume, which has become a meme among Destiny fans.
