Despite encountering heavy Vex resistance, along with taken remaining inside the Pyramidion from [[Ir Arok, Tongue of Quria|a previous incursion]], they successfully reached the core of the structure and fought with Brakion. Unlike the ill-fated expedition of Asher however, the Guardian succeeded in destroying the mind, halting the Vex's efforts to convert Io for now.
