==Gameplay==
Taniks is one of the Nightmares the player hunts during the campaign of ''[[Shadowkeep]]'', found within the [[Temple of Crota]]. Much like his living counterpart, it will first be encountered in an early area of the Hunt. The Nightmare will fight the player by firing his [[Scorch Cannon]], teleporting around the area, and occasionally getting close for an Ultra Smash, while his Fallen and [[Major]] Nightmare reinforcements join in the fight. Once brought down to a third of his health, the Nightmare will activate his immunity, summon several [[Dreg]]s, [[Vandal]]s and [[Shank]]s with powerful [[Solar]] [[Absorption Shield]]s, and retreat deeper in the area.

Taniks' Nightmare must be pursued to the area with the lift to the [[Traitor's Ketch]], where he will confront the fireteam with more reinforcements. He will fight much like before, but the smaller arena makes it harder to dodge the explosions of his cannon. At the last third of its health, he will again become immune and summon powerful Nightmare Fallen, which must be killed to make him vulnerable. Deal with the last third of his health, and the Hunt will be over.

The Nightmare of Taniks will also appear as one of the Final Nightmares fought in the [[Altars of Sorrow]], where he will mostly stand still in front of the Scarlet Keep, pelting the Guardians with his Scorch Cannon.
