Editing Monolith creatures

During his expedition beyond the [[Solar System]], the [[Drifter]] and his crew encountered strange '''alien creatures''' on a desolate, icy planet. As a result of the Light-suppressing field they generated, [[Guardian|Guardians]] that died within close proximity of these creatures were incapable of being revived by their [[Ghost]]s, resulting in the Guardian's permanent death.<ref name="AAG"/>

==Trivia==
*The Drifter's description of these creatures is reminiscent of the mysterious shadowy creatures depicted in [[Cayde's Treasure Island Book]], drawings of which accompany his description of the [[Collapse]].
*The creatures also seem to share characteristics with [[The Dread]], notably in that both are apparently headless and can even nullify [[Light]]. However, the creatures encountered by the Drifter are described as amorphous and being passive in behavior, neither of which apply to the Dread.
**A possible but unlikely theory is that the creatures encountered by the Drifter’s crew are possibly an iteration of [[The Witness|the Witness’s]] "finalized" experiments; given that the monolith aesthetics of the facilities draws parallels to [[Pyramid]] and [[Precursors (Species)|Precursor]] architecture shown in-game.
