Killing the Abomination will cause nine "knowledge" splinters to spawn in the surrounding area, which you must pick up and deliver to the device. Note that you can only carry up to three of them at any given time. Once all nine have been delivered, the platform will activate and transport you further into the Bog, towards the Pyramid.
