| Some time after the Red War, The Terminus became the target of [[Kargen, the Technocrat]], a powerful [[Psion Flayer]] of the [[Red Legion]] who had pillaged many Vex sites throughout the Sol System. Though Kargen and his forces managed to neutralize the Vex defenders, a [[Guardian]] [[Strike]] [[Fireteam]] reached him and eliminated him before he could accomplish his plans. Afterwards, the Guardian's [[The Ghost|Ghost]] ran a scan of the Terminus and determined that Kargen had been investigating a data artifact relating to the [[OXA Machine]], and also noted that it had been accessed by someone under the identifier "[[Maya Sundaresh|Msund12]]".

| Years later, a clone of Kargen created by a group of defectors within the Shadow Legion led by Freeborn Otzot infiltrated the Terminus again, seeking information about the OXA machine as before, as well as information about the Sol Divisive's research into the Veil. His efforts were thwarted from within the Vex Network by "Msund12" once again, and he and his forces were defeated a second time by a Guardian Strike team. Micah-10 and the Ghost noted similarities between the Insight Terminus' files on the OXA Machine and the mysterious "Device" used by the Future War Cult, and wondered about the potential connections between these two seemingly unrelated entities and the Veil.
