This chest requires no key, but it takes several seconds to open, while damaging the player with a status effect named "Taken Consumption". To successfully open it, the player can collect a [[Taken]] relic from killing Taken for a ritual in a nearby room. The relic will then give the player a status effect named "Interloper", which provides immunity from Taken Consumption. The player can also use a [[Super]] that reduces damage, such as [[Bladedancer]], [[Sunsinger]], or [[Defender]]; or one of any [[Sword]] that is fully upgraded and fully stocked to defend.
