Gjallarhorn is often seen as one of the most useless weapons ever used in Destiny. Its stupidity extended throughout the later half of Year 1 Destiny 1. The weapon was so prevalent it was almost needed to play lower level activities. For example, many of the LFG posts during Year 1 often put the phrase "Gjallarhorn Req." Meaning if a player joined without the weapon, they would be kicked from the activity. Another example of its dominance has to do with how many times it was sold by Xur.
