Takedown the Scorned Assemble is a Scorn Takedown released as part of Season of the Witch. Guardians are tasked with trekking into a Pyramidal structure and taking down the Scorn's experimentation with Dark powers. Similar to Takedowns before it, players must race through the decrepit laboratory to earn Scorn-themed gear and weaponry, and a chance to earn the TBA Exotic Grenade Launcher, through difficult puzzles and a more ferocious opposition.

Overview[edit]

As the Guardians worked on tithing power to Eris Morn, Hive God of Vengeance, for her fight with Xivu Arath, Immaru would contact with them, telling them of a Scorn holdout deep in the swamps of the Throne World. Reports from Lucent Hive Lightbearers speak of a growing crew of Scorn that have hard to dislodge from the Throne World with an increasingly adept usage of Stasis. Immaru sees it as an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone: eliminate the threat these Scorn pose and get Eris more power.

Similar to Takedowns before it, there is a lack of mechanics-based encounters alongside the lack of checkpoints, offering only three positions to save progress: the beginning, after defeating the Assembled Warmachine and after defeating Kavarixia for players attempting to get the TBA.

Gameplay[edit]

Entrance[edit]

When players first land in the Miasma, they will first be met with a path leading to an outcrop overlooking the Pyramidal temple with ammo crates, an orb generator, a hastily placed vault and a map detailing a crude map of the temple made by a member of the Lucent Brood. If the players are playing the Takedown before its release, nearby clusters of Scorn torches along the sides of the Alcove will go out one by one, indicating how much time is left before the activation of the Takedown. For players prepping for World's First, once the last torch goes out, a Dark Ether Barrier blocking the way will dissipate, while players returning to or playing the Takedown later will be given the prompt to dissipate the Dark Ether barrier.
