After years of anticipation, the Witness and its forces would finally bring war to the Traveler and begin committed operations against the Vanguard. While the Black Legion were preoccupied with deciphering what has happened with [[The Veil]] and what has happened to the Traveler following its scarring by the Witness, the House of Shadow would begin coopting Pyramid tech into their arsenal, granting their forces shield generators and suppression devices to further reinforce their dark arsenal. Nevertheless, the House of Shadow would remain underground and avoid much of the conflict, instead keeping a prying eye on [[Shadow Legion]] operations from their covert dens and begin experimenting with their new equipment, already creating a new division within the House of Shadows, the Tenebrous Claws. Despite the common goal of the destruction of the Traveler and the Light, Nova would insist that the Sumeragi would remain independent from the Witness' forces, distrustful of its intents and how it seeks to bring forth the Final Shape.

====Defiance of the End====

With the inevitable arrival of the Witness and Calus in tow, war would come to the active Traveler and, as a result, due to the Veil, Neptune. With the chaos of the war and the devastating defeat at the system's edge, Xa'lus had no choice but to trust his existing infiltrators from feeding him data and technologies. The Legion would begin to chart the doings of Calus' forces and would even begin coopting their technologies, along with the Neomuni. Following the Witness's empowerment by the Veil and sudden disappearance into the Veil, much of the Black Legion's forces would break into confusion and curiosity, seeking answers as to what happened and attempt to pursue, with all attempts ending in failure. Despite that, breakthroughs with Pyramid tech would give birth to the Shadow Hand subgroup within the Black Legion. Following the operation aboard the Essence, the Psion Flayer, Ilitcyl, would eventually slave mindless Tormentors the Black Legion captured to his will, creating his Malignancies and using them to solidify his position within the hierarchy of the Legion. Even with orders from Nova to refuse an alliance with the Witness, an initially ideal alliance, Xa'lus would finally be satisfied with a short-lived and admittedly petty vengeance against a charismatic Calus, who has stolen some of his esteemed forces. Unbeknownst to much of the Black Legion, however, one Val Paragun would become disillusioned with the Primus' costly crusade against the Last City and eager to return to the graces of the Cabal Empire, deserting to the Imperial Cabal with information on their arsenal and the rising threat of the resurgent Sumeragi.

===Overview===

Some Shadow Guardians would become shocked at the discovery of the Endless Night looming over their source most of their lucent power. However, with the discovery of Lakshmi-2's broadcasts and the friction generated between the Fallen of the [[House of Light]], some Shadow Guardians would body attempt to compound the issue by instigating as much anarchy as they could without getting caught by ambitious bounty hunters. Finally, when the friction finally gave and the factions began their coup, a few Shadow Guardians would join their assault on the Vanguard and House of Light, however, would instead find a problem on two fronts between the undivided Vex and the ecumenical alliance between Guardian and Fallen, forcing retreat. Despite this loss, the battle would serve as a learning experience for their forces, as they now realize the threat of a unified front of Vanguard, Fallen and Cabal. They surmised and broadcast to all Sumeragi forces that if they hope to achieve victory over the Traveler, they had to make their move and quickly.

===Overview===

They recently learned of a prison riot in the prison of elders. They discovered that [[Cayde-6]] has die from [[Uldren Sov]]. They immediately took noticed of the Reef and realized that Uldren now has an army called the [[Scorn]]. They quickly sent every available forces to the Reef to collect every criminal escapees and inserts them into Sumeragi. However, it was later discovered that [[Riven]], an [[Ahamkara]] was the one manipulating the events so she could grant [[Savathûn, the Witch Queen]] wish.
