| The Ethereal Brood fundamentally works the same like other broods, with Knights and Wizards leading cohorts of Thrall and Acolytes with a patron god standing on high. The worms remain within the system but are instead fed by the Light and Darkness from Malok's Echo. The effect of the Echo allows the Hive to feed endlessly from themselves rather than a primary source from above or below the tithe system. This has made the brood heretical as they do not require killing but instead feed from the power within themselves.

| The use of the Echo also allows the brood to conduct heinous experiments, especially when it comes to the use of necromancy. From which, the Brood was capable of reviving those that had supposedly survived final deaths, despite them being nothing more than hollowed husks given new minds to fill them.
