| Congressional Offensive begins with the Guardians arriving in a location similar to the start of the [[Root of Nightmares]] [[Raid]]. As they progress towards an open area, the Guardians can look to the skybox to see what enemy faction they'll be facing that particular week (in addition to an icon on the menu when selecting the Offensive) with Shadow Legion having [[Cabal Warship|Warship]]s and [[Harvester]]s, Scorn having [[Skiff]]s and a [[Ketch]] and the Taken having [[Blight]]s manifesting.

| Descending to an area with a large Pyramid door, the Guardians must clear the area of the weekly enemy being supported by [[The Dread|Dread]] units. Once that's done, the Guardians will then need to open the door by standing on three plates to open the door. However, they will be swarmed by waves of Nightmare enemies. Once all three plates have been charged 100%, the waves will stop and the door will open, allowing the fireteam to continue the activity.

| After completing three encounters, the guardians will bake their way to the final boss room. The final boss will either be a champion sent by the Congression or a powerful Nightmare conjured to defend. The latter of which can be noted by the Scorn/Shadow Legion bodies scattered around the arena.
