'''Bracus Vanum, Dune Raider''' was a Cabal Centurion serving as a Bracus under the Dune Raiders. Originally a member of the [[Red Legion]] that had been captured by the [[Awoken]] and thrown into the [[Prison of Elders]], he would swear loyalty to [[Forum:Primus Lau'urc|Primus Lau'urc]] and become one of her most trusted lieutenants. He would be selected to represent the [[Primus]] in a [[Rite of Proving]], seeking to buy the Empress' favor with relics taken from [[the Watchtower]] on the [[Tangled Shore]], but would ultimately be killed by [[the Guardian]].

==Gameplay==
Vanum is encountered as the final boss of [[Forum:Battleground: Heist|Battleground: Heist]]. He will initially be behind an unbreachable [[Portable Cabal Shield]], standing before the Gateway. Once the fireteam begins the Rite of Proving, the shield will drop, the Bracus will turn to face you and further Cabal reinforcements will arrive via a nearby door on either side of the room. Vanum will move about the arena and lob explosive shots from his Projection Rifle at Guardians. Every so often, he will use his jetpack to hover in the air to lob them from above or reposition himself.

As Vanum takes damage, more Cabal will arrive until he has lost a third of his health, where he will summon an immunity shield and a  [[Shieldbearer Incendior]] to maintain it. Once the Shielbearer is slain, Vanum will be vulnerable again. Every half-third, Vanum will summon a [[Portable Cabal Shield]] for added protection. After killing another Shieldbearer Incendior when he reaches his last third of health, Vanum will be vulnerable. Once he's dead, the activity will be completed and any remaining Cabal will teleport away.
