| Azirim was a cruel, psychotic sadist who took pleasure in killing and was therefore barred from the [[Dreaming City]]; however, he showed up regardless during a celebration, claiming to the historian [[Esila]] that he had mended his ways. He made a show of his supposed contrition which enraptured dozens of the Awoken, including Esila, and then beguiled them into leaping off the cliffs of the [[Gardens of Esila]]. Azirim fed on their deaths and fled the city laughing in sadistic glee, both at the deaths of the Awoken he had tricked and at the Dreaming City's helplessness to stop him.
