'''Evocatii''' are powerful humanoid entities commanded by [[the Witness]], its [[Disciples of the Witness|Disciples]] and allies; first encountered among the forces of the Disciple [[Forum:Tivon, the Eternal Will|Tivon]]. They are nimble entities that wield powerful staffs and [[Paracausality|Paracausal]] empowerment abilities.

Evocators are thin and spindly vaguely humanoid constructs. They share similar appearance traits to [[Tormentor]]s and [[Subjugator]]s with long arms and black claws with three fingers. The only major difference is the feet, which are much more stumpy. Their skin appears to be made of the same material as objects found in Pyramid structures, including their arms being made from a similar glass-like material.  The face is featureless, save for a glowing pattern carved onto them similar to the Subjugators, which is under a cloak made of a cloth-like material.

The Evocators are related to the Disciple Tivon as many powerful Evocators have been seen labeled '''Scion of the Will''' and Tivon themself resembling an Evocator. While they were initially believed to have been completely made by cloning Tivon, similar to the Tormentors' and Subjagators' relation to [[Nezarec, Final God of Pain|Nezarec]] and [[Rhulk, Disciple of the Witness|Rhulk]] respectively, it is later revealed that they were initially remade Tivon from their previous race that they had massacred before becoming a Disciple. Following Tivon's death at the hands of Rhulk, his Evocators would fall under the control of the Witness who would allow them to be used by its Disciples and lieutenants, until its death within the [[Pale Heart]] where they would fall back under the control of Tivon and their followers.

Evocators are slightly smaller in comparison to Tormentors and Subjagators and are much more nimble as a result. They will hover around the battlefield, firing orbs of Arc energy from their staff at their enemies. Occasionally, they will thrust their staff upward to create an Arc storm, sending bolts of Arc Energy that can partially track Guardians. They can also slam their staff on the ground to create a pulse capable of temporarily blinding any Guardians looking directly at them.

However, the most notable thing about Evocatii is their support capabilities. They can empower their allies through Voltic Empowerment to boost their speed and attack. The effect is doubled for enemies with Arc Weapons and Abilities such as most [[Fallen]], [[Hive]] [[Thrall]] and [[Wizard]]s and [[Scorn]] [[Abomination]]s. This will be indicated to the player when they begin to generate an orb of Arc energy in their hand from their staff which they will crush and spread the energy to all enemies in the vicinity. This attack can be interrupted by either a powerful shot to an Evocator's head or certain Guardian abilities that [[Void|suppress]], [[Stasis|freeze]] or [[Strand|suspend]].
