The first expansion for Destiny 3, The Voided Genesis takes place after Destiny 3 and explores the Taken's unity under various new villains, including Tech E. Coyote, Throneseeker of Oryx; Eto Yoshimura, Fragment of Evie; Nasira, Sister of Jafar; and Maleficent, Mistress of Evil and their crusade to bring killed enemies from death via Taken technology and kill Mal. The Voided Genesis takes place at The Altar of Oryx on the Dreadnaught, The Forbidden Mountains on Earth, The Ocean of Flames on Europa, and The Sultan's Tomb on Mars. Eris Morn returns to help The Guardian, Sloane, Ikora Rey, Zavala, Variks, The Loyal, and Petra Venj track down Maleficent and her forces.

Story Missions

  • A Mother's Revenge: The Taken stir on Europa, and now, their invasion has resurrected a long-thought dead villain Maleficent. Head to the Ocean of Flames and stop her from escaping with the Shard of the Osmium King.
  • Siege of the King: Fight to the death against Ana Bray's killer before it can destroy Rasputin.
  • Cruel Torture: Venture into the ruined city of Agrabah Complex on Mars and stop Nasira from cementing Mal's friends' prophesied betrayal.
  • Throne of Regicide: Beyond the embers of the Dreadnaught, Tech E. Coyote has rallied the Taken forces in a diabolical plan to usurp Oryx's throne. Return to the place where it all started and stop Tech and his Taken army.
  • Four Hearts as One: Dive deeper into the gateway of the Forbidden Mountains and end Eto's life before Evie's friendship with Mal is forever shattered.
  • Sweet Dreams: Using the power of the Traveler, bring the fight to Maleficent for one last time and save the Last City once more.
